周如鸿,男,舟山定海人,1988年毕业于浙江大学,获物理学士学位,1990年获浙江大学凝聚态物理硕士学位,后留校任教。1994年赴美国哥伦比亚大学留学,1997年获生物物理化学博士学位。现任浙江大学生命科学学院院长,浙江大学上海高等研究院院长,浙江大学定量生物中心主任,求是讲席教授。曾任IBMWatson研究院软物质科学系主任,IBM蓝色基因计划生命科学首席科学家,哥伦比亚大学化学系兼职教授。

个人经历
周如鸿教授长期从事生物学,定量生物学,药物化学,纳米医药与人工智能等交叉学科的研究,在计算+药物设计、蛋白质折叠、肿瘤免疫机制等领域取得了一系列国际领先的原创性成果。拥有或已申请32项国际专利,在国际权威学术刊物发表论文280余篇(其中32篇发表于Science,Nature,Cell,Nature子刊,PNAS),文章总引用超过18000余次,H因子71(GoogleScholar)。曾获全美化学学会计算化学奖(DECAward),IBM杰出科技贡献奖(IBM技术类最高奖),IBM杰出创新奖,并于2009年以IBM蓝色基因计划主要成员之一荣获奥巴马总统颁发的美国国家技术奖章(总统奖)。周如鸿教授于2011年当选美国科学促进会会士(AAASFellow),美国物理学会会士(APSFellow),并于2012年入选IBM全球八大研究院“将对IBM,对世界,可能产生最重大影响”的五名科学家之一。周如鸿教授同时担任美国分子科学领域顶尖的Telluride科学研究中心董事会的董事(BoardofDirectors),和美国芝加哥大学多尺度科学中心的科学顾问(ScientificAdvisoryBoard)。
近年来的代表性工作包括:(1)与合作者首次利用高性能计算与机器学习解决了肿瘤免疫药物在不同人群中有不同响应率之谜,新发现的HLA基因亚类成为临床免疫药物生物标识;(2)首次发现了I-型糖尿病患者存在新的免疫细胞(X-cell),它同时具有T-cell与B-cell的特性,改写免疫学教科书,并发现这个X-cell具有引发自免疫的超级自抗原,为基于自抗原的免疫疫苗提供了新思路;(3)在抗肿瘤纳米药物,新一代纳米抗生素等方面取得一系列的突破性进展与纳米原药,相关工作发表于Nature子刊,PNAS等,同时被《MITTechReview》列入2012年突破性成果;(4)早年开发的PME/RESPA,REST2等先进采样算法近年来进一步开发并得到广泛应用,扩展至几乎所有商用与开源分子动力学软件;(5)早年首次提出的在生物大分子自组装体系内可能存在一级去浸润相变(Science2004,Nature2005),两年后被实验证实,近年来这一纳米尺度的奇特效应被Schrodinger公司(药物设计领域最大的上市公司)应用于药物设计;(6)与麻省总医院合作设计的HIV/AIDS疫苗进入临床前试验,与英国某著名食品公司合作设计的味觉添加剂成为产品并进入市场销售。
